 This superb match grade barrel features a match chamber, bore, and crown for maximum accuracy. For target shooting, Volquartsen certifies that .250" groups is achievable at 50 yards using match grade ammunition. The proprietary "spiral fluting" was created to make a cooler and lighter weight barrel resulting in the dramatic design and unique appearance like no other barrel made. The flutes are positioned around the barrel to give unsurpassed rigidity and longitudinal rigidity. The "Snake" flutes also increase surface area to help cooling. The special cut barrel compensator is designed to direct gases and noise away from the shooter. Drilled and tapped for the catilevered barrel mount system unique to Volquartsen.
